Quarantine Your Fears – 5 Tips to Better Health

During the Coronavirus Pandemic, we are hearing more and more the word quarantine as a strategy to slow the spread of the virus.
We all know that stress can have an extremely negative impact on our minds, emotions, and the immune system of our bodies.
One way to reduce your stress is to use the concept of quarantine to control unhealthy fears from taking you over.
So, we control the “space” of fear and not let it control us.
There are 2 kinds of fears, healthy fear, and unhealthy fear.
  • Healthy fear protects and leads to caution and making great decisions, for example keeping 6 ft of social distance because it makes sense.
  • Unhealthy fear, on the other hand, attacks, controls, weakens the immune and leads to wrong decisions. For example the unhealthy fear impulse for over buying i.e. toilet paper. (and those are easy examples for us to see, there are much more pervasive ones).
You are taking control by using your two main internal “earth movers” Thinking & E-motions in a proactive way.
5 Tips to Quarantine Fear
1. Accept your fear – accept by itemizing it and knowing it exactly.
2. Separate – your version of healthy from unhealthy fear.
3. Face it – look at fear in the eyes. Shed light on it, talk about it, see it for what it is. Fear grows in the dark (like mold) and shrinks in the light.
4. Take control – decide to use The Power of Thinking/Emotions to keep fear at bay by stopping it from taking control. Do it time and time again, until it becomes second nature.
5. The big picture – while maintaining social distancing make sure you get out from the small enclosure of your home and out to the big picture of nature when and where ever possible to get a perspective.

Explaining the Rational – 3 Steps

Step #1 – The Level of Thinking & Emotions Affect The Immune System

These are challenging times that require a new level of thinking and emotional intelligence.

When unhealthy fears seize the emotions and the thinking the immune system suffers.

When the thinking and emotions are used correctly the immune system strengthens. This is a fact that is extremely underrated and it shouldn’t be.

Step #2 – Seeing & Facing Reality

We are seeing the negative impact of the spread of the virus on the thinking and emotions happening in front of our eyes.

And let’s face it, we have gotten used to a way of thinking that, at least for now, is no longer valid.

Yes, we need to eat well, sleep well and workout but what about our two most important inner “earth movers” the thinking and the emotions, which often determines the level of stress we have in us?

How can we align them to strengthen our immune rather than deplete it?

What is now needed more than ever is to slow down to a point where we are in sync with the new reality and what it actually requires of us to survive and survive well.

Because everything we know in our world has come to a screeching halt! And so must we, so that we can change direction.

We need to realize that the outside threat can be met with fierce resistance of our immune system which we can control.

Step #3 – Why is The Term Quarantine Used  In Relation To Fears?

We need to remember that we have incredible internal abilities that can fight off this virus successfully and, furthermore, move the human race to a level of consciousness that will safeguard future generations.

So it goes beyond just this crisis.

Everyone knows that the way things are today between nations, within nations, between people, within families, between men and women and between a person and themselves is way below par, which we came to view as “normal” reality.

Perhaps, now, when we can see that we can’t control everything outside and that we are threatened by the Unknown we can hunker down and learn to use these 2 incredible gifts, Thinking & Emotions in a new, far more intelligent level that will make a world of difference.
